Teardrops On My Guitar

11 03 2007

I’ve constantly remembered the days,
Walks alone led me recall those memories,
Sugary, not long, those were the times,
When we were young, and free.

I don’t know what happened,
I don’t know how I lost it,
I don’t know why, why?
We were set apart by the tidal waves.

For years, I’ve been walking backwards and downwards,
Adrift on the ocean floor, weightless and distressed,
I’m jealous of your new cup of tea,
I can’t handle the direction I’m heading.

I can’t deny it, I can’t help it,
I tried to move on, but hardly,
I resorted to various ways for healing,
I need a touch from the Cupid.

You’re the reason for the teardrops on my guitar,
The only one who’s got enough of me to break my heart,
You brought me to the doorstep of love,
You left me standing there.

I’ll carry on.
